What Happens Next?

1 of 4 things will then happen with your application -
  1. Application Bounce.
  2. Further Information Needed.
  3. Application Diarized
  4. Prices & Proposed Contract.

Bounced Application

There are a few reasons that an application could "bounce.
  • Application not submitted correctly.
  • There is already an active LOA on this account. (Another DUS partner has an LOA signed by the client/business)
  • The client has revoked the Letter of Authority.
  • The information provided is intentionally incorrect to defraud or deceive energy suppliers.

Further Information Needed.

If we require further information in order to process an application we will email you to ask for this. If we are unable to proceed with the application, it may be placed on hold until we get the information that we require in order to process the application properly.

Application Diarised.

Once we have processed the application and we have all the required information ready to price, we will then diarise the client until a time when we can price the contract.

We can price a contract up to 6-months before the end of their current contract. Once the client enters the 6-month window we are able to lock in their new prices, we call this the Renewal Window. So, if the current contract ends in December we would look to price a new contract in June/July.

Please note - Some energy contracts can be in excess of 5 years. We are not able to break an existing contract. If the client is in a contract there is nothing we can do until the renew window.

Whilst you are with the client most suppliers will indicate when the contract is due to expire. If you can find this information you are able to set an expectation for the client as to when we are able to price the contract. Please see the "Energy Time Frames" module, later in this training.

Application Priced.

Should the client be "Out of Contract" or when they come to the "Renewal Window" we will let you know so as to book an appointment with your client.

Once you have booked the appointment, we will then look to price the Energy Contract and supply a contract for your client
