How does the money work?

Energy Prices

Energy prices are always fluctuating and changing. Our job is to make sure we find the client the best contract with the right supplier for their business needs. Each supplier has a different price for each type of meter, area code, and contract length, so there is never a “cheapest supplier” across all these different variables. NEVER, EVER GUESS OR QUOTE A PRICE FROM A PREVIOUS CONTRACT YOU HAVE WRITTEN.

How do we earn money?

The way that Diverse Utility Solutions works is that we study the market to get the best rates from most of the energy suppliers. They are also prices the general public cannot access directly (we often refer to these wholesale prices) and we then add our small uplift to these prices which is cheaper than the customer can get direct from the supplier. Below is a graph to show a basic of how this works when pricing with just ONE supplier's prices.

Comparing Suppliers

You are able to indicate what size uplift you would like placed on the proposed contracts when submitting your client on the online platform. You can choose either High, Regular, Low or No Preference, (“No preference” means our energy experts will do their best to work out a suitable and attractive uplift while giving best value for the customer)

Once our energy experts have decided a suitable uplift to place on top of our “Wholesale prices” we can then compare this over the different suppliers and see which suppliers are competitive and which supplier will provide the best value contract to the business.

The graph shows 4 suppliers with the same uplift placed on each 1-year, 2-year and 3-year contract.

We occasionally also offer 4 and 5 year contracts depending on the market.
The Report

We then put our figures into a report that you can present to your client. Our prices are built into the report, so your client can not see how much uplift we have placed on their contract.

You can see how much uplift we have placed on your client on your monthly commission statement and how much money the contract is worth to you.

We do not permit you to tell your client how much money you have been paid or the method behind how we get paid. The easiest way to explain how we earn money is this -

"The supplier that you choose to go ahead with pays us a small fee for signing you up, and looking after the service"
