How does the Calculator work?
The Energy Commission Calculator is designed to assist you in working out how much a client is worth to you. The way it works is very simple.
1. In the top yellow box enter the number of kWh that the client is predicted to use per year.
2. in the bottom yellow box enter the number of years the client signs a contract for.
Once you have entered this data the spreadsheet will produce some figures. Total Commission and Partners Commission. The figures are based on the level of uplift ranging from £0.001 (0.01) per kWh up to £0.03 (3) per kWh. You are then able to determine what you should be paid (Partners Commission) depending on what level of commission is added.
Our average uplift is between 0.4 and 0.7. On larger clients we generally add smaller commissions to assist in winning the contracts. (large consumption with small uplift still pay well) On smaller clients we are able to add larger uplifts as they do not have the buying power of the larger clients (small consumption with a high uplift can also pay well)
Occasionally we have clients who have been overcharged badly. This happens when domestic suppliers are attempting to service clients in their businesses. This can lead to high uplift with high usage which has two effects. Initial commission is fantastic but most importantly, it builds a renewal buffer which can help you re sign the business even after a price increase,
