Energy Compliance.

The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem), supporting the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (GEMA), is the government regulator for the electricity and downstream natural gas markets in Great Britain. It was formed by the merger of the Office of Electricity Regulation (OFFER) and Office of Gas Supply (Ofgas).

Technically you are account managers and only introduce business, the weight of compliance lies with the supplier and DUS. Having said that, we do strive to operate with best practice at all times in a way that adheres to OFGEM regulations and guidance.
1. Anyone connected with DUS found to mis-sell, mis-represent or in any way deliberately attempt to deceive a potential or existing client, following suitable investigations, if found guilty will be instantly dismissed for gross misconduct. All future and pending commissions could be lost (see Disciplinary Policies in your Partner Licencee Agreement)

2. Any broker proven, by their actions and/or communication, to bring DUS into disrepute will be subject to the disciplinary policies,

3. All literature and marketing materials must be approved in writing by DUS directors, 

4. Any broker found using DUS information inappropriately, in other businesses or for personal gain will be subject to discipline, The practice of selling away (using DUS to launch or sell other non DUS product) will be deemed as gross misconduct,

5. As part of any brokers CPD, we suggest a regular attendance of DUS events, regular refreshing of training and modules and an constant awareness of OFGEM compliance issues and guidelines.
