The Letter of Authority 2 is very similar to the original LOA in the fact that the document gives us authority to act on the clients behalf.
LOA 1 allows us to gather information and knowledge on the account so we are able to price accurately,
LOA 2 allows us to place the client in an agreed contract.Specifically it allows us to
- Request and receive current and historical account information
- Issue contract notices with regards to supply contracts on my behalf
- Contact my current supplier to resolve objections or rejections regarding my transfer
- Request and receive quotations for the supply of electricity and gas
- Request and receive all billing information eg. Copy bills, debt info, payment terms
- Raise and deal with complaints on my behalf to a satisfactory resolution if needed
- Arrange payment plans and authorise refunds on my behalf in relation to any account
- Agree supply contracts on my behalf.
This Letter of Authority allows us to do more things on behalf of the client. We usually do not need to do most of the above, though the Letter of Authority will give us permission to do so if an issue ever did arise where we need to act on the client's behalf.
